  • How many members do you have? We currently have about 35 members, and new people are calling and joining monthly.

  • What kind of members do you have? Our club consists of men and women, whose ages range from 20 to over 70.  Our members are realtors, flippers, home improvement professionals and landlords of apartment buildings as well as single family dwellings. We have members with a wide variety of occupations as well as some who are full-time real estate professionals.  This depth of experience allows us to refer specific questions from our members to the appropriate professional.

  • How many attend a meeting? Anywhere from 15 to 30 people.

  • Do you have any mailings to members? Yes. Each month emails are sent out to each paid member announcing the guest speaker and topic to be discussed.  These emails are particularly important because they may also contain any changes in meeting dates, speaker or topic, and news of any legislative matters that might affect members.

For more than 25 years, REIMW has brought together a diverse group of people with one shared interest.....real estate investing! Both beginners and long time professionals have enjoyed the benefits of membership.

Memberships are $60.00 per person and $70.00 per couple, per calendar year. ALL memberships begin in the month you join and end on December 31st of the same year. Beginning every July memberships are pro-rated to $30.00 per person and $40.00 per couple which expire on December 31st. If you have any questions about memberships or fees, simply attend a meeting and inquire at our registration table.

  • Why don't we have a meeting in December? Some years ago we decided to have a holiday dinner in December instead of a meeting.

  • Do you have to own real estate to join the group? No, you only have to have an interest in real estate and the necessary dollars to cover the membership or guest fee.

  • Is REIMW a corporation? No. It is a group of individuals who have an interest in real estate investing.

  • How is REIMW structured? Who does what? REIMW has a Board of Directors consisting of elected officers from the club. The officers receive no compensation for their work. They are volunteers. We do have others who help as volunteers but have no titles. We have a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Librarian and a Web site developer. 

  • How long do your meetings last? Doors open for all meetings at 7:00 PM with the meeting beginning at 7:30 PM. Meetings usually last until 9:00 PM with refreshments and networking to follow until the Center closes at 10:00 PM.

  • What happens at a meeting? The president makes a variety of announcements and offers members and guests the opportunity to present information on specific topics or deals they are involved in. Suggestions can be made at that time. The speaker for the evening is usually introduced by 8 PM. The speakers present their topics and answer questions until about 9 PM or 9:30 PM. After that, while enjoying refreshments, there is plenty of time for networking so bring your business cards.

  • In what kind of investments are your members involved? Some of our members are involved with buying foreclosures, financial paper, homes needing fix-up, and etc. Some are interested in buying homes or vacant land at tax sales.

  • Does the club participate in joint-member real estate ventures? No, although members have joined together to purchase property outside of the club structure.
